Break Free From Human Trafficking
Let Girls Run to a Bright Future

Plan International Hong Kong is once again partnering with Cosmopolitan to host the event "Run for Girls! 2025. This initiative aims to raise funds to support our anti-human trafficking programs in Nepal, helping to protect girls in Nepal and other developing countries from the threats of human trafficking, child marriage, period poverty, female genital mutilation, and other forms of exploitation. Let’s run for girls on 5 April, and free girls from human trafficking!

Girls are not "commodities"; they all deserve the right to grow freely and pursue their dreams. If you are not available to join the run, you are welcome to support the our anti-human trafficking project in Nepal　through online donations.

• HK$300 - Providing 1 girl with educational necessities such as pencils, school bags, and uniforms, etc. to ensure she has an opportunity to receive education and is free from human trafficking.
• HK$600 - Providing 2 girls with educational necessities such as pencils, school bags, and uniforms, etc. to ensure they have an opportunity to receive education and are free from human trafficking.
• HK$1,200 - Providing 2 girls with educational necessities such as pencils, school bags, and uniforms, etc. to ensure they have an opportunity to receive education; and setting up an information booth near the border for a week for approaching suspicious vehicles to conduct checks in order to help the girls escape from the danger of human trafficking in time.
• HK$2,000 - Organising an educational seminar with the Parents Teachers Association of a school in Nepal to help parents and teachers understand how to protect children from human trafficking.
• HK$4,500 - Supporting the local governments in Nepal to form local committees and take more proactive measures against human trafficking issues.
• HK$5,000 - Setting up an information booth near the border for 2 months for approaching suspicious vehicles to conduct checks in order to help the girls escape from the danger of human trafficking in time.
• HK$7,000 - Organising activities for the School Management Committee, Parents Teachers Association and teachers at 4 schools so that parents and teachers can learn how to protect their children from human trafficking.
• HK$8,500 - Provide support to the 2 trafficking survivors/at risk group for their safe repatriation, rehabilitation and reintegration.

We are raising awareness among youth to identify human trafficking risks as well as empowering girls to become advocates in their communities.

We have set up information stations at the border of Nepal and India and inspected suspicious vehicles to rescue trafficked girls.

ALLOCATION OF DONATIONS

Plan International will allocate donations for designated projects in accordance with the donor’s intent. However, when the designated project is fully funded, additional donations will be used where needed most for more efficient use of resources without prior notice.
